The Security Masterclass
HACKING PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, so on Friday 3rd October, 12.30pm BST, I’ll be giving you an exclusive look at the latest cybersecurity threats, and what you can do to avoid them.
Remember the big hacks of those big companies in the spring? This is your chance to hear about how they happened and how to stop it happening to your business.
If your job involves IT or security, then you definitely need to be there. If you’d like to keep your and your loved ones’ data, bank details, and identities safe, you should be there too.
We’ll give you the heads up on the latest techniques hackers are using – for example, did you know that AI chatbots can be turned against their owners to hack their own corporate databases?
I’m going to be joined by Ken Munro, one of the finest cybersecurity experts I’ve ever met. He’s a Penetration Tester, and organisations hire his company, Pen Test Partners, to try and crack their security and find their weaknesses, before the criminals do.
Ken and the team have hacked planes, trains and automobiles – I’m not kidding – they’ve taken control of a supertanker and killed a Tesla.
He was last seen on Click helping me fight off a horde of attacking robots, before being vaporised.
But, having recovered from that dose of CGI, he’ll be giving you an in-depth security briefing that we hope will be vital to your company, and something that you would never normally get for free.
Once again, this will be a small, exclusive event for a small, exclusive audience. There will be an opportunity to ask Ken questions too, so come with a notepad and a curious mind, and we will arm you against the big threats for 2025 and beyond.

PRESENTING Q&A
For more than 30 years, I’ve been presenting, writing, producing and filming for international TV programmes like Click and Morning Live, radio and podcast series like Understand: Tech & AI, and – well – taking complex subjects, and telling them in fun, accessible ways.
And as well as shooting and editing myself, I’ve worked closely with some of the best camera ops and video editors in the business, so I’ve been around the block, and know how it all works.
The Presenting Q&A was an opportunity to pick my brain, get advice, and ask me anything. We talked about winning the audience in the first 60 seconds, how to get the best out of different types of mics, how to write your own scripts, and how to tell technical stories in a fun way.
Thanks so much for all your applications – we had a blast. If you want to know more about being in front of a camera or microphone, and take your presenting to the next level, there will be more masterclasses soon.
