The A.I. Masterclass
HOW TO USE IT, AND WHEN NOT TO USE IT
Do you really know how best to use AI? How do you cut through the AI Agent hype? How and why are Large Language Models lying to us about their intentions? Are coders out of a job?
Well, on Friday 23rd January 2026, we’re going to discuss the very latest AI developments in a way that you won’t get from an AI salesperson, so I’d love you to join us.
This is a unique chance to put questions to one of the best, clearest explainers of AI I know. Dr Michael Pound is one of the stars of Computerphile, an insanely popular YouTube channel with millions of subscribers and (probably) quadrillions of views. He’s also helped me explain generative AI to the BBC Click audience, and how we control AI in the future to listeners of BBC Radio 4’s Understand: Tech & AI.
Once again, this will be a small, exclusive event for a small, exclusive audience. So come with a curious mind, and we will make sure you get ahead of everyone else in your knowledge of AI in 2026.
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS EVENT ARE NOW CLOSED.

Here’s What You Missed
CYBERSECURITY MASTERCLASS
Remember the big hacks of those big companies in the spring of 2025? This Masterclass was a unique chance to hear about how they happened and how to stop it happening to your business.
We’ll discussed the latest techniques hackers are using – for example, did you know that AI chatbots can be turned against their owners to hack their own corporate databases?
I was joined by Ken Munro, one of the finest cybersecurity experts I’ve ever met. He’s a Penetration Tester, and organisations hire his company, Pen Test Partners, to try and crack their security and find their weaknesses, before the criminals do.
Ken and the team have hacked planes, trains and automobiles – I’m not kidding – they’ve taken control of a supertanker and killed a Tesla.
He was last seen on Click helping me fight off a horde of attacking robots, before being vaporised. But he’s okay now.

PRESENTING Q&A
For more than 30 years, I’ve been presenting, writing, producing and filming for international TV programmes like Click and Morning Live, radio and podcast series like Understand: Tech & AI, and – well – taking complex subjects, and telling them in fun, accessible ways.
And as well as shooting and editing myself, I’ve worked closely with some of the best camera ops and video editors in the business, so I’ve been around the block, and know how it all works.
The Presenting Q&A was an opportunity to pick my brain, get advice, and ask me anything. We talked about winning the audience in the first 60 seconds, how to get the best out of different types of mics, how to write your own scripts, and how to tell technical stories in a fun way.
Thanks so much for all your applications – we had a blast. If you want to know more about being in front of a camera or microphone, and take your presenting to the next level, there will be more masterclasses soon.
